PAWPAW SEEDLING
Asimina triloba
$20.00 each

These are unnamed seedlings that may not produce consistently as grafted varieties, but a great value and will grow just as well. Plant at least two for pollination!

Pawpaws are an incredibly unique fruit. Their aromatic custard-like flavor varies from vanilla to melon. Pawpaws are native to eastern North America and have the largest fruits of any native North American plant.

Planting tips: They don't like their roots to be disturbed so they are sold as small seedlings to ensure transplant success. They are a slow growing understory tree that likes shade when young but needs light at maturity to produce fruit. They also like high humidity, so planting in well-drained site near a pond or creek would be ideal.
